Thrive HF is a wireless sensor network for environmental monitoring that communicates with the Cloud via High-Frequency radio signals. In a world where drought and other extreme weather conditions are becoming more and more common, precise watering, connected to a network of sensors, can save 20% of the water a farmer would normally use.

The lack of an integrated and cost-effective solution limits the widespread deployment of water-sensing technology.

“I would love to track how much water I use and all that. I mean, I should be doing that, but I just don’t know where to start.”

Based on user interviews, we developed a storyboard and design requirements. This helped inform the ideation and prototyping phases of the process.
