The Radio Unheard is a sound design project for radio exploring new connections in the "radio system". Each episode presents a new experiment built for and about the format of radio. This includes actors such as the communication technology of radio, the people who get to make radio, the physical implications of radio, and the people who listen to radio.
From making radios to making content for radio, I want to give a voice to the lesser-known parts of the system. I hope to create a new intimacy between people and radio.
The Radio Unheard was my masters thesis at NYU's Interactive Telecommunications Program. Prior to this, I worked in college radio for five years as producer of a weekly live music show and Program Director.
